 Ernest Longfellow

 (1845-1921)

Ernest Longfellow, the son of the famous poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, was an accomplished artist, and studied in France for many years in the 1860's. He built a house and studio on Coolidge Point in Manchester, and painted many lovely coastal landscapes along the North Shore between Nahant, where his Appleton relatives summered, and Cape Ann.
